The Clinical Trial of Cefoperazone in Severe and Complicated Systemic Infections

Abstract
|
|
|
Clinical trial for the therapeutic effect of cefoperazone was made in 26 patients with severe and complicated systemic infections. Cefoperazone was administered intravenously 2-6 gm daily in 2-3 divided doses for an average of 12.6 days. The overall effectiveness was 80.7% without any significant side effect.
We concluded that the cefoperazone was particularly useful in patients with biliary tract infection and in patients with bacterial infection along with decreased renal function.
